Acute and chronic kidney disease
We study pathophysiologic mechanisms of mineral metabolism disorders in acute kidney injury, acute kidney injury-to-chronic kidney disease transition, and extrarenal complications of kidney disease.
Nephrolithiasis
We focus in the underlying metabolic derangements in uric acid nephrolithiasis, renal acidification, and citrate handling.
